I was enjoying Amritsar so much, the people, the temple and relaxing in a very chilled atmosphere I couldn’t decide whether to stay or go but as the Himalayas are calling I headed north. The traffic getting of Amritsar was manic but once I left Punjab and crossed into Jammu & Kashmir the traffic reduced to hardly any and I enjoyed the ride to Jammu.
I arrived late afternoon and couldn’t find a reasonably priced hotel with wifi anywhere so continued ridding around looking for one where I ended up in the city centre with narrow streets and crowds of people everywhere. The next hour involved a combination of slowly ridding in 1st gear and complete gridlock with other bikes and rickshaws. I loved it.
