Business Coaching is about recognising that whilst the business may be successful, it can be more successful and can make more profit. Business Coaching is for new businesses and established businesses. Do you have a business idea, are you about to launch a business? I can assist you to turn your vision into reality. Working together your business will be aligned to your aims and values, I can ensure your teams thrive and sales are maximised. In essence, we take your business from where it is now to where you want it to be. I support you by offering an external, independent perspective and hold you to account.
I have started businesses and worked for corporations. Having started my own business, I understand how to take an idea, a vision, a dream from conception to a thriving business. Working for an international corporation I was directly involved in strategic planning and implementation. I created and managed sales teams that continually surpassed expectations.
One of the most important skills of any leader is effective communication. Working together you can improve your communication skills for all stakeholders in your business, ensuring both performance and wellbeing are maximised. Working together we can establish what your strengths are and how to use them to achieve your businesses goals, and create a program for you to learn and improve new skills.
Confidence is another vital characteristic of a leader, maybe your passion has diminished, is this something we could work on restoring? How’s your motivation and enthusiasm? I can keep you motivated.
Business coaching pertains to your business. Your business is unique, and your coaching experience with me will be unique. Between us we will create a confidential space to explore where your business is now, where you desire to be, and create a plan to help fill the gap and ensure your business is both successful and you have a good work life balance.
I invested in my education. I invested in my knowledge by completing a Psychology (Hons) degree, and further invested in my knowledge and skills when I undertook a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology (MAPPCP) where I attained a distinction.

I left a successful corporate career behind to become a life and business coach, improve the quality of my life and help you. I feel all of my life experiences have funnelled me towards becoming a coach.
Coaching is a powerful conversational intervention where I support you with the change you desire. As a coaching psychologist I use theoretically grounded and scientifically validated techniques to help you change your mindset or reach your goals in your personal, business and adventure life.
You may ponder on what type of coach you want to work with: life coach, adventure travel coach, career coach, business coach, personal development coach, confidence coach… I could go on! I pondered on what type of coaching I could offer; what type of coach am I?
I believe the efficacy and credibility a coach has is dependent on the expertise (skill & knowledge), experience and connection one has. Coaching is an unregulated industry – anyone can start coaching immediately. So how can you determine the level of expertise, experience and connection a coach has? A little research will give you some of the answers; their biography and social media will give you an indication about what life experiences they have had, their qualifications inform you about their skill and knowledge level, and their accreditations and organisation memberships inform you how long they have been coaching and their experience in particular fields. A coach can have years of experience and expertise. However, if you do not have a great connection with your coach, forget it! How you feel about your coach and what you perceive they feel about you is a prerequisite to you achieving the change you desire. Establishing the quality of the connection between you and your coach is easy, you have to meet up, either face to face or online. This is the very essence of why I suggest we meet for a free initial meeting. Only after this can you decide if I am the coach for you.
Looking back, I was exactly where you are now, I had dreams, I wanted progression, I wanted more for myself and my kids. I know what it feels like to want more and realise that progress is slow or non-existent, at times it felt like I was going backwards! The first thing I did was to define what I wanted, then I created a plan of how to achieve it. I followed my plan, with small steps, but always going in the right direction. I enjoyed both the present and developing my future. That started over 20 years ago.
When I decided ‘enough was enough’, and I wanted to be happier and more fulfilled, ‘personal growth, life coaching, SMART goals, authentic behaviour and how to use my strengths to succeed’ wasn’t in my vocabulary. I was alone on my journey.
I left a successful corporate career behind to fulfil my potential and improve the quality of my life. Now, having studied positive psychology and coaching psychology for many years, I recognise my behaviours over the last few decades were ideal for achieving forward movement in my personal and business life. However, it took me many years languishing in my dreams before I started my journey.
You don’t have to be alone on your journey.
Read my bio, and check out my social media where you can read about my experience, successes and personal development. I have started businesses and a charity, worked for corporations and travelled to over 80 countries around the world, and I am a very proud father of two amazing young adults.
I have found a vocation I really love, and my philosophy to coaching is simple; I want to be the best coach I can be for you, and I achieve this by using my expertise, experience and ability to effectively connect with you to help unlock your potential. My intention is to help you flourish, achieving sustainable forward movement towards a change in your mindset and / or achieving your goal(s).
The psychologist Carl Rogers really inspired me. He had a humanistic perspective to psychology and developed the person-centred approach. This means in my practice I have a holistic approach and focus on your self-awareness and thoughtful actions. I believe everyone is individual, has free will and is motivated to achieve their potential and self-actualise (where your personal potential is fully realised). I believe that by focusing on your strengths you can achieve your goal(s) and flourish.
I have worked with both individuals and organisations in Essex, Cambridge & London. You can read testimonials from people I have helped and what they say about their experience of my coaching
I have always helped people and experienced kindness wherever I have travelled throughout the world. However, it was whilst travelling on my Destination Unknown trip that I realised I wanted to focus on helping people. As soon as I returned home, I co-founded Cool to be Kind in Essex.
My interest in people then led me to study psychology, where I discovered the humanistic approach and then positive psychology, which focuses on both individual and societal wellbeing.
