Day 215 – 7th November 2014 Yangon

Tourist day in Yangon.

Yangon was the capital of Myanmar until 2005 when Naypyidaw became the capital.

Yangon is a big city with 7,000,000 people.

We couldn’t take our bikes into the city as in 2000 a motorcyclist shot a Military General and now the Generals live in fear of assassination, this feels strange as the small moped / motorbike is the most common form of transport in so many countries so not seeing any motorbikes at all is so noticeable.

We spent the day seeing some great sights.

After a long day out and about a massage was in order. If you like girls walking over you then I can strongly recommend a Myanmar Massage!
