Woke with a slight headache as too much beer and raki with new friends last night, checked out of hotel and back to the shop for breakfast. I thought maybe I should skip breakfast as it may lead to another day in Iznik, which would be ok but I do want to crack on.
I arrived at Ephesus at about 11.30 and spent a hour or two walking around the ruins. What a fantastic place, I tried to imagine what it would have been like in all it’s glory when it was part of the Roman Empire.
A few miles up a mountain was The Church of Virgin Mary, I paid 15TL and regretted it, the ride up the mountain was great but the church didn’t inspire me. Being an atheist I’m not the target tourist Ha Ha.
Another 3 or 4 hours riding south and I arrived in Bodrum, what a lovely place.
