Day 67 – 12th June 2014 Kobuleti

Again it was raining when I woke up, this time heavy all day. It wasn’t as if I would have gone to the beach as for the first time since leaving home I’m not feeling well, freezing cold and aching all over. I had to put thermals and many layers of clothes on last night including two duvets to try and keep warm. I spent most of the day in bed.

Been following the news for a change today and it’s frightening to think it was only 3 or 4 weeks ago I was in Iraq not 25 miles north of Mosel. I have mailed two Kurdish friends there who live in Arbil & Duhok to check they’re safe and to get their feelings on the situation. Add to this the problems in Ukraine and Pakistan and whilst not close me I feel problems are all around.
